Basic information about tripods................

Earlier this year, mention was made on this Forum about the importance of using a tripod. The link below is a good article about tripods and I wanted to pass it on to you folks. Kelley (Texas) :)

With cameras getting lighter and lighter, they need heavier tripods or the slightest wind will make them vibrate. some triposts have hooks to hang stuff under the camera. These are good to add extra weight for stability purposes,

One more thing. When using a tripod, it's generally not necessary to use image stabilization...many manuals instruct the user to turn off that feature.
