Does anyone check the actual field, or just the grass on the outside of the fence, around the bleachers, the snack bar, and the parking area?
 
Everywhere. Wherever people have been they lose money and goodies. I've found money and jewelry under bushes where lovers tussled. I once hunted around a concession stand ( with little success )with a big wooden platform in front of it for customers to stand on. No one before me had had the presence of mind to stand the platform up and search under it. I did and it was crummy with coins.

Im going to a football field this winter, Ill start under the bleachers, Ill have to try to find were the snack area was at.
 
I usually stay off the actual fields until the off season.
