I just started detecting the week I received my XS been playing with it in the yard some today the 14th was the first time I left the yard now I wake up to 5 inches of snow.I have bought four more detectors on ebay because the girl I am dating her boys are very interested in this after some convincing.The nine year old has a older compass yukon in mint cond. two button but no varible tone,I told him he will just have to dig everything that he hears,it came in the mail thursday I had it put together for him and he found his first penny in the yard.The other boy is 15 and I bought a Bounty Hunter new on ebay for $129 quick buy,it is the equal to the sharp shooter II which sales for a bit more about ($279) and I bought me a Compass Gold Scanner Pro to share with my girlfriend it is my grab and go detector back up to my XS,then I won a bid on a Garrett 500 GTA that is in very very good condition.Needless to say I am broke now..lol..She has the boys everyother weekend and they don't kow about the ring as of yet the will come tuesday and I am sure this find will give them a booster shot of wanting to get out of the yard and detecting new places.I will say this I am new and don't know much but that lil'Bounty Hunter is perfect for kids it has target id and depth scale I checked evrything with my XS and it was right it even read a dime laying with nails and a tab.not bad for $129 unit.I will get the Garrett and compass in the mail next week sometime.Since I am snowed in I guess I'll watch the Busch race and the 500 tomorrow,nobody has to twist my arm to watch Nascar.
