took a trip over to Idaho and grabbed 150coins in approx. 10-11hrs. of hunting. I didn't scratch the quarter....

You're doing really well with the Tesoro Golden Sabre II. Nice going on the old silver coins!

nice job! Love the old silver.

Heck, I live in Idaho and haven't found a quarter that old!

In general, where in the state were you hunting?

Panhandle...... All my Barber and Seated Liberty stuff has come from there as I used to live there, know the area well, have friends with yards,etc...... Unfortunately the stuff is getting harder to come by because of "progress" in general......

that dime is really nice its working for you

The 1916 Barber dime is sweet, good job:tesoro:

I was up in Coeur d'Alene in the spring and had park personnel politely ask that I not detect the main city park there (the one with a small beach by the Resort). He told me the sand was okay but no grass detecting. Bummer.

I did hit some sidewalk strips and got some clad, but those old trees in that park are still calling to me!

That don't suprise me one bit unfortunately. That park is one of the spots I cut my teeth in. It was pounded when I got there (20+ yrs ago) and it still gave up a few good coins back then! I got my first seated dime there (1869s) and remember it well. Also got my first V-nickel there. That park has also been known to spit out a gold coin or two. Due north and acrossed the street there used to be a ball park there (?). The ballpark was apparently part of what they called the "fortgrounds" and if it's still there it may not be posted? If still there and open you'll dig LOTS of shell casings but you'll also dig cool military buttons and the occasiaonal coin.......
