Barber * Tokens * Relics * And The Biggest Indian Head I've Ever Seen !

We finally got a break in the Winter weather here in Ohio - so I was able to get out for a hunt at a old abandoned farm house and around a few 1800's cellar holes in the woods.
While I was at the abandoned farm house, I noticed the face of a Indian carved in a big stone in the backyard - it's approx. 18" wide - pretty cool !

The 1903 Barber Dime was only 3" down at the abandoned farm house - being so shallow - I was just hoping for a silver Rosie or maybe even a Merc ... surprise !

As always, the 1867 (semi-key date) Indian Cent is in better condition than shown in the photo's - I can never get good photo's of Indian's with my camera for some reason.

The one cent "Andy - Bobby" dry goods store Token is from the 1909 era - according to the on-line Token database.

The old cast metal Salt Shaker was found in the woods near a cut sandstone cellar hole.

Good Hunting !

Congratulations on the finds. Thanks for the pictures too. That carving is really neat!

Those are some great finds. I bet it felt wonderful to be out. You've been chomping at the bit to get to that place. congrats on the barber, IHP and the other finds. So interesting and fun. Are you going back?

Yes, I have permission to go back and hunt the site again.

Very nice! That indian is very cool!

I have no historical info. on the carving but I'm going to show it to a friend of mine that's a serious Indian arrow head hunter / collector and see what he has to say.
