Barber Quarter

New member
Went to a park today.Fought my way into the woods swinging the 5.75 coil of the Vaquero any place it would fit. It was tough detecting. Overgrown with weeds , vines and the mosquitos were non relentless. About five minutes in I found a 1903 Barber dime. Didnt find another coin in the two hours I hunted. Did find a large caliber two line bullet, padlock and rusty pocket knife.

Nice going. That coin looks to be in very good shape. Those are hard to come by.

Hatpin.....

that Barber quarter is in nice shape  That one would make my day, any day, all day long !

I had two typos lol. Mosquitos were relentless not non relentless and its not a dime. I have found a few dimes here in the past and must have had dimes on the brain.

Great find hatpin, I too have an old park but I have not hunted it yet, I don't want to search there alone.

Hat that is sweet,

good looking quarter there sir.

Great find and always great to pull one out in that nice of shape!

Wow that is a nice coin! I have found silver dimes including a barber but still have yet to find any silver quarters. I'm waiting for the day it happens but I'm beginning to think this was a poor area around here like if someone lost a quarter back then they would spend a long time looking for it.

That sure is in great condition and a nice find. Isn't it strange how one silver/gold find can make it a great hunt? That is fine detecting.....Z
