Barber, buffalo & Indian Heads

The house my brother & I hit for the first time on July 3 continues to produce. He hit it by himself on July 4 pulling up 42 coins. We hit it for a couple of hours late yesterday with 26 coins for the effort. The ground is like rock. We are going to wait until we get some soaking rain to go back. Here is the count so far. 164 coins, probably 20 wheats with the best being 1911, 1916, 1917 & 1919. My first Barber dime (1903), two 1952 dimes, a buffalo head with the date worn off, and three Indian Head pennies 1882, 1906 & 1907. This place is amazing. The ground is pretty rocky which probably kept the coins from slipping beyond detecting range over the years. Quality coins spaced all over the property. Come on rain.

Man a wet spring would be the nuts for that place...It seems some yards are busy yards and actually hit one old one and picked up 1 coin a clad quarter( never detected) thats what you call an unbusy yard...Usually coal region yards contain a bunch of wheaties and several silver...
