Bandito II

I used to own a Bandito II (now I own two Vaquero's, which I do love dearly). I loved my Bandito II and would love to get my hands on another one. Does anybody ever see these for sale, anywhere?

To be honest, I am not sure what the distinction is between the uMax and non-uMax. I bought my Bandito II new back in 1994 or 1995 or so. I regret parting with it in 97. However, I do love the Vaquero. Does anybody think the Bandito II was better than the Vaquero? I used to hunt with the Bandito in all-metal mode, and rely on my ear to distinguish between targets. I have not yet tried that with the Vaquero. I always hunt with the Vaquero set just below nickels on the discrimination. I found my first gold ring ever last weekend! A 14k mens wedding band!

JOE, i started operating my Vaquero and my Cortes in the ALL METAL mode just recently. Works great in large grassy areas where there is not a lot of trash, such as on soccer fields, around baseball fields. Seems like ALL METAL scans a wider path then the DISC. mode. Also picks up gold chains that are not detectable in DISC. mode. Then I switch to DISC. mode to pinpoint, sometimes. Keep my DISC. set below IRON so not to reject small gold rings, etc.
