Bandito 11 umax

RLOH

Well-known member
The first good detector that I bought was a Bandito 11 umax back in the mid nineties and I had much success with that detector. I sold it off to try a metered detector and forgot about how well that detector performed. Last winter I saw a mint one for sale and I bought it on a whim. The detector was mint and it works as well as it looks. Yesterday I took it to a spot that has more coins than any spot I have ever hunted. You will get tired of bending over before you will run out of coins. The great thing about this site is there are also many silver coins and wheats mixed in with the abundent clad so you just never know what might pop out of the ground. I have hunted this particular site with the high priced detectors and the deepest coins to be found are 5 to 8 inches deep. There are underground cables and in the past, there were many places I was unable to hunt. The Bandito handled these spots like a charm and I dug many deep coins in these areas that were not huntable in the past. It did chirp alot, but the coin signals were very distinct between the chirps. I found 76 coins in an hour and a half and I could have found double that if I were in better detecting shape. Six wheaties and a 1950 silver dime that I didn't even realize was silver until I got the coins rinsed. It was laying in six inches of muck and was nearly black. This detector has razor sharp discrimination and it still ain't a bad detector for so called old technology. 2.2 pounds feels like a twig and is quite a relief from some of the hogs I have been using! I really like my Bandido ll as well. Especially after lugging around almost 6 lbs of detector w/accessories.
And I am also impressed with the depth of this mighty little machine. I'm looking for a new machine and I
keep thinking I should just get a new

But I'll say it anyway!

You can cherrypick with this machine and dig copper pennies on up thru silver with the Bandido ll

Saturday I took the Bandito to grassy fenced in area that borders a large playground. This spot is about 100 yards by 75 yards and is behind a school built in the 1930's. It is not detected by many people and I can usually get 25 or so coins in an hours time. I dug 45 coins and two silver rings in an hour and a half. Ten of the coins were nickles and once I got use to the disc, they were all identical. The disc is extremely tight and all had a clear signal at 4 and broken at just below 5. I have never had any knob type detector that was this accurate. I have had all of the new Tesoros(T,V, and C) and could never find nickles like the Bandito can. It really is a sweet detector. R.L.
