Bandido lower pole question

Hi all, just bid/bought another Tesoro off ebay. Bandido umax ll with two coils 4" & 8" with two lower pole assembly. Question- one looks in picture to be the plastic/fiberglass black pole and the other is the combo metal/plastic. Does the all plastic/fiberglass offer any real advantage ? in depth or senitivity ?

I prefer the non-metal roads and non-metal hardware. Partly because I like the 'looks', and partly because even though I know better, it is a psychological thing.

If you're like me, the coil angle can change when you hit something or plow through heavy grass. With a metal rod the detector will momentarily sound off. Not so with the fibre rod.
