Bandido ll u Max are any of the newer Tesoro 10 hKz freq. detectors any better or go deeper then this detector?

I have only used the Cortes out of that bunch, and havent seen much difference between it and the BII umax. I like the slower retune speed of the Bandito, and its quieter hunting characteristic than the Cortes. But depth didnt seem much different.

I haven't seen much difference in any of the Tesoros except for the Tejon.

I know about the Compadre, DeLeon, and Cibola, and fixed with the same coil they're all about the same. You'll get 5 inches on a dime and 6 on a quarter.

I did do a quick buried dime test with my Tejon and at 7 inches deep (discrimination of foil) it sounded off very loudly from all directions. I believe it would detect a freshly buried clad dime in discrimination mode at 8-9 inches deep. A clad quarter would be about 9-10 inches depending on soil conditions.

In all metal mode it would most likely go even deeper in milder soil. I know because I've dug small targets very deep that gave a mild signal in discrimination by a very loud signal in all metal mode.

If Tesoro is the only brand for you and you want depth then you pretty much have to go Tejon or maybe Vaquero.
