Bandido II uMax Ground Balancing

When I ground balance the Bandido II uMax in All Metal mode does it also ground balance for Disc mode or is that preset at the factory?

Yes, but when it's perfectly balanced in the all metal mode it will be a little too positive in the discrimination mode. No big deal. So if you plan to switch over into the discrimination mode, balance the detector a little negative. At least that is what Monte says. I can't tell any difference myself.

Hi pine, Yes the ground balance is tied into both the motion disc. and all-metal modes.


I gave you some pointers in my PM reply about ground balance, and will take the time to explain further. The positive off set in the Bandido ll
 
Hey Hombre,

I really enjoyed your post and it all makes sense to me. Luckily I also have pretty good soil and can ground balance spot on. I find the All Metal Normal Mode really good for pinpointing and sizing a target. It's really great when one can put the theory into practice.
