Gold comes in all over the map. I'm a coinshooter and the only time I find gold is when I'm chasing a nickel signal, stumbled onto 3 gold rings last season and 1 this season, all chasing nickel signals. Like you mentioned...who knows what a guy misses (gold) when you are focused on coin signals only....lol If you really want the gold you gotta pretty much dig it all to be real successful.......or take the stumbled onto gold chasing nickel signals.TN Mike said:Im beginning to wonder what yellow gold comes in at? This is the only gold I've ever owned so the first ring showed me that the detector discs out white at about 5 exactly.. I've heard that yellow comes in higher than white, which I hope is true... other wise who knows what I'm missing.

Thats why I'm loving the OUTLAW. I also have found 2 gold rings this month. WTG Mike.
You are incorrect about "looking for some dang number"....as gold can, and does, ring in just about anywhere depending on content, size , coin, jewelry, etc. Basically back to what I said...you gotta dig it all if you really want the gold.JimGilmore said:The problem with Gold and the new fangeled machines is that you keep looking for some dang number....
