Bandido II Micromax vs Eldorado Micromax

Which one would you have if you could only have one. If you've owned both, how would you compare the two?

Thanks

Robert

I know this doesn't help...
I have no experience with the eldorado but heard great things.
Bandido II micromax is a great detector. Hopefully I can get my hands on an eldorado for a good price and I can really compare.

The Bandido II µMAX, which because of the micro symbol .. µ .. I also like to just say it as the microMAX as you did in the subject heading. 'Thank You' for that.

I compare them as being close in performance, giving the Eldorado micro-housed models the nod for having the ED-180 Discrimination to adjust for All Metal Acceptance in the Disc. mode for when tomes are favorable to hunt that way.

However, I general hunt in very dense iron littered sites and have taken advantage of Tesoro's excellent performance with silent search Disc. mode providing a quick-response and fast-recovery with the ED-120 Disc. circuitry adjusted for the minimum setting. The Bandido II microMAX will generally work a bit quieter than the Eldorado in dense iron when the Eldorado's Disc. is increased to be close to that of the Bandido unit.

I generally work my Tesoro's in dense iron when Relic Hunting or for quick work in tot lots and similar urban Coin Hunting applications. I think you have the right models in hand. I'm thinning down a few of the duplicate models in my arsenal but making sure I have a Bandido II µMAX still on-hand.

I have two eldorados. One control box has very smooth, glossy sides. The other has a dull matte, almost frosty, finish Anyone know why the different paint jobs on identical model - umax - detectors? Duck!
