Bandido II Coils

I just picked up an original Bandido II in excellent condition at a yard sale. At $40.00 it seemed very reasonable? (couldn't get two twenties out fast enough) This is my first Tesoro and I'm impressed. It is similar in design to my Fisher GB2. I've replaced what was a weakened two-piece lower shaft with the one piece replacement. It has the original 8" brown donut coil. I'm considering a smaller 4 or 5" coil but confused on what will work. The 8" coil is a 5 pin. Wondering if small concentric (or dd)coils for the Bandido II Umax will fit or if smaller coils are commercially available for this older Bandido II?
Thanks in advance!

any 5 pin tesoro coil should work

I'LL give you $50.00 for it right now:surprised: You sure did stumble onto a treasure:clapping: I've never used a Bandido, but I don't think you'll have a problem finding on. Go onto Tesoro's web site click on Coils and there is a list of everything they make and which coils goes to your detector.

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know. Took it out to a local park this afternoon. Love the discrimination and ground balance. Tunes out pull tabs quickly and effectively. Tuned it for quarters and found 4 clad in a few minutes. Somewhat easier to ground balance than my Gold Bug 2, slightly heavier with this 8" coil but all in all a superb older detector. I'm going to stay with the standard coil after trying it. Put the money into another nugget machine; maybe the Lobo ST. I must say; I was really pleased. My first Tesoro but definitely not my last...
