I had the great pleasure after work today of looking for and finding an engagement ring for a young lady who had lost it in the snow when taking off her gloves while shovelling her walks. She had posted on our local forum asking for help and contacted me via email last night taking me up on my offer to assist.
The sight of her literally jumping for joy and her smile was more than reward enough for the time it took, which was in fact not more than 10 or 15 minutes. I also took note of several good spots to detect as the area she lives in has many older homes and is sure to contain a few old coins. If I had thought to wear winter boots I'd have put the Bandido 2mmax to work in the snow I'm sure. I look forward to exploring this area more in the spring.
Here is the ring, back on her hand where it belongs.

Ended the day meeting by John and Dale at Harveys and BS'ing about detecting over coffee.
No treasure brought home but a very enjoyable and rewarding day.
HH all.
