bandido 2 umax coil

Just bought a used bandido 2 umax. It has the 7 inch concentric coil. Anyone have good luck with this coil. It doesn't seem to go very deep. Are there deeper coils for this unit? Thanks.

I use the 7" concentric quite often for tot lots and the local parks as it slips thru the trash pretty well and is pleasant to swingl Any of the larger coils will give a bit more depth - from and inch or so to maybe 3" + depending on the soil and which coil.

Thanks. It does work well that way. I've basically found clad down to about 4-5 inches so far. Would like to go deeper for the older stuff. web

If you live on the west coast thats about par for the harsh minerals we have here. How are your bench tests?

Ya, I'm in Oregon. Bench testings a little better, of course. No soil. No minerals. I can get a couple more inches that way, especially in all metal mode. Maybe a different coil? Web.

well what might help you out is a wide scan coil, if you have heavy mineralization and for the umax they come in 7" 8.5" and 11" i think thats it but the way these work is so i've read is that the coil see's less minerals and more of the darget and deeper penetration, if i'm wrong someone please correct me
