Band Filter Question for Mr. Rob.......

Elton

New member
Rob:

Just want you to run by me once again the band filter settings..

You stated with learning you guys determined on the VX# that only 5 and 12.5 was needed..

On the V3i there are more, and the default is 10............ Should we V3i users ignore the other settings in filters we have and revert to the 5 Filter for best results. Or, use all we have, and run what works best in our area.

Thank you Sir for responding when you get an opportunity.

This was his answer when you asked basicly the same question Sept 1 Elton.... it is also in Rob's Links.

You have to see what works best for you. Remember the target has to be at detection limits to test the filters. Lower gain and sensitivity until you are just getting the target.

It seemed after reading before that Whites and you guys learned 5 was best..and then when I saw two were gone from the Vx3 I wasn't positive if he meant use all or eliminate trying the 7 and 10 Bands.
