Anyone detect at Bald Head Island in North Carolina? I detected there last year and found lots of clad and fishing equipment, but no gold or silver. Getting ready to go again and was wondering if anyone else has hunted there and what kind of results you got and if you had any suggestions on areas that had produced for you. Going to give my XP Deus with the large coil a try. Thinking 18 Khz setting will pull some silver and gold for me.
Well, my Bald Head Island trip is next week and thought I would throw this out there one more time to see if anyone has hunted there recently and if so, were there any specific areas of the beach that produced more. Just picked up a new Excal II and this will be my first beach trip with it. Very excited to try it out. I'll have my surf rods with me to fish as well. A week of beach metal detecting and surf fishing, it couldn't get any better.
