balance CZ 3

Hi all, not wanting to hip mount the CZ 3D,with the 10.5 coil, are there any mods, anyone has done by moving the control box for balance such as a short rod above the arm cup ,open to ideas please .

Best balanced and ergonmically correct CZ ever made was the pole mounted CZ7A which had 12 AA batteries under the armcup and one might look at that unit for ideas..Larger coil just makes the unit nose heavy no matter where the control box is located in a feasible fashion. Might try the modifications forum with this question
http://www.findmall.com/list.php?22 as these guys really come up with some good ideas, come to think of it CZ7A really never was a big seller as most preferred a CZ that could be hipmounted.

I prefer the chest mount rig. It keeps the control box up out of my way and the meter & controls where I can see them. Also your jacket will cover it if it starts raining.

HH, Jim
