badlandsbilly, a Question for you

You stated:
"Tony I have found more gold jewelry with my V3i than all the detectors I've owned, learned and used in the last 20 plus years.
Once you learn the sounds it produces you'll up your gold finds dramatically.
badlandsbilly"

I tried private messaging you but for some reason you can't receive private messages.

Anyway, can you share with me your settings you use to find gold jewelry? Do you use Coin and Jewelry mode?
What kind of disc settings do you use?
Do you dig all pull tabs?

Thanks!
Tony

Tony I run the V3i in coin and jewelry.
I play a "game" with myself some times.I tell myself I'll dig all the signals for the first 200 targets .I'm getting so old and never had an excess of brains to begin with that I usually lose track of the count and just dig them all.
When I'm hunting a lot, daily,I find that more often than not I can get a signal and say "gold" just by the quality of the sound.Unless the gold jewelry is in a "nasty" foil and pull tab graveyard where get a mixed signal.
The truth is my 67 year old plus arthritic knees don't last long kneeling numerous on long hunts.
I'm moving back East to be as close to the east coast beaches as I can afford to live by or on.Using a long handle sand scope has helped extend my hunts.

Sorry to hear about your knees. It looks like you have a good plan. I just hope you find an area that has loads of lost goodies on the beaches.
