Bad Stock Coil on AT Pro

Had to call Garrett in Garland, TX today and get an RMA for my 8.5"x11" DD coil...
It has either developed a leak and got water in it, or the windings shorted somewheres...
It makes the detector go NUTS...The other coils all work fine...
They are shipping me a new coil AND a prepaid label to ship back the defective coil...
NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I still have my 6.5x9 Concentric to use in the meantime.
I should be back in bidness by next weekend...

GOGOGopher how do you like the 6.5X9 coil on the atpro. Its what I use on mine. I have not even tried the DD coil yet.
 
It is OK, but the DD can pull targets out of the trash better and go deeper in my opinion, but I have only just started using the concentric full time (due to the bad DD...I am not so sure it is the coil now, as it started going flaky with the concentric too)...I had to reset the machine a few times as the screen was flashing random junk non-stop...I may have to send the whole gizmo back...
