Bad Signals Being Coins Or Other Great Finds

I guess I hurt my finger at the right time of year because it's been so bad weather wise that i couldn't do anything anyway. I'm so hungry to metal detect that I'm in one of those moods where I'd gladly dig any junk signal above iron. You know how the mood strikes you to do that and often you come home with some amazing non-coin finds, and even some great coins that gave really bad signals for one reason or another. That got me to thinking that this would be a good topic to inspire people to dig it all on some days. So tell us about the coins or other great finds that gave you a junk signal and turned out to be good. Why do you think it gave a bad signal too? A while back I started a similar topic but it's always fun to hear these stories and get inspired.
