Gonna be losing my job in march sometime.....Don jr. and sr. if u got 9@10 news over there u probably heard about martinrea closing in clare. They are consolidating our plant and the dexter plant into one big plant in manchester michigan.

Hardly anyone here can afford to go down, most own their homes that work here. And i don't know about the rest of em, but i can't afford 2 house payments...

To top it all off, my wife lost her job too last week. She has worked at the hospital for 5 years.

So i dont' know when ill be posting again fellas. You all take it easy.

... been there / done that in my past... not fun at all. Something good always follows ... start networking through every organization / person you know.

<center> hope you and your wife all the best and best of luck and that what ever you do you will be happier then before :D
This is part of Lady Lake Florida after the tornado

now he's so busy, he doesn't even have time to post.. It will work out Matt, might be rough for a bit but things will come together. It'll be a new chapter in your life... it just hasn't been written yet. Keep us posted. We'll (my family) say a prayer for you and your family tonight when we're all together.

IT WAS THE EIGHT GRADE AND WAS GOING TO START HIGH SCHOOL,A TEACHER ASKED US WHAT WE WANTED TO DO IN LIFE WAS ABOUT TO BEGONE WHEN WE PICKED OUT A VOCATION TO FOLLOW AFTER HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE.

WELL THE VIETNAM WAR CAME ALONG FOR ME...AND WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE SERVICE I REMEMBERED A TALK I HAD WITH MY DAD ABOUT PICKING A VOCATION?

HE TOLD ME THAT WHEN THE DEPRESSION HIT....THE BIGGEST THING FOLKS NEEDED WERE SHOES AND "ICE CREAM"...IT WAS A COMFORT FOOD FOR THOSE WHO COULD NOT BUY SHOES.

WELL THE FUNNY PART WAS...WHEN I WAS 3/4 YRS OLD,WE WERE LIVING DIRECTLY
ACROSS THE STREET FROM A DAIRY PRODUCT PLANT.IT HAD A BIG WHITE MILK BOTTLE AS A FRONT DOOR.

WELL HERE I WAS SOME10YRS LATER....OUT OF SCHOOL....OUT OF THE WAR...AND SEEKING WORK.MY FIRST JOB WAS IN A MILL RUNNING A RISE AND FALL

MILLING MACHINE MAKING CUTS OR STRINGERS IN JET WINGS TO KEEP THEM FROM FOLDING UP.THE PAY WAS 80 CENTS AN HR.AFTER ONE YR.I WAS MAKING $1.10 AN HR.

WELL I WENT TO WORK AT DOUGLAS AIRCRAFT FOR 4 YRS. I GOT LAID OF 2 TIMES.MEANWHILE I WENT TO SCHOOL AT A LOCAL COLLEGE TO LEARN A/C ON AUTOS AND WALK-IN REFRIGERATION UNITS.

I APPLIED AT A LOCAL ICE CREAM PLANT AND WAS HIRED AT OVER $5 AN HR.FOR MY SKILLS'

I WORKED IN THAT FIELD AT DIFFERENT PLANTS AS A HIGH SPEED PRODUCTION MECHANIC AND REFRIGERATION (AMMONIA) TECHNICIAN.

I DID THAT WORK FOR 20 YRS WITH OUT ANY HINT OF LAY OFF WHEN THE 70'S HIT ALL OTHER PLANTS OR FABRICATORS AND THE AIRLINES OR AUTO PLANTS AND STEEL MILLS SHUTTING DOWN AND GOING OVERSEAS.

WHEN I GOT TO 45YRS OLD..I MADE A DECISION TO WORK IN THE BLDG'S OR HIGH RISES BECAUSE THE PAY WAS $5 MORE PER HR. AND NOT COLD.

AND 45 WAS THE KEY TO MOVE OR I WOULD NOT HAVE MUCH MORE OF A WORK LIFE LEFT AS BELIEVED BY THE BIG COMPANY'S THEN.

I WORKED IN THE HOTELS AND FINALLY AT A BANK DATA CENTER UNTIL RETIREMENT.

I WAS NEVER,EVER LAID OFF ALL THRU THOSE YRS.IT'S THE LATER YRS YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHEN THE NEW HOTSHOTS COME TO TOWN AND HAVE NO
RESPECT FOR THE SKILLED LABOR. MY RETIREMENT IS GOOD...OVER 5.5K A MONTH

WHICH INCLUDES SSI.

SO YOU WHIPPERSNAPPER...........IN ORDER TO EARN....YOU MUST LEARN !!

GOOD LUCK!
