Bad Mineralization

Where I live has bad mineralization. Nothing but iron ore and red clay. Lots of junk too.

Can anyone attest to how an ATPro does in extreme mineralization? All the old areas of town have nails, garbage, and hot slag rocks. My ML 305 never finds coins deeper than 4 inches with its concentric coil.

Trying to decide between two machines that are too expensive for me but I will buy on anyway, ATPro and ETrac.

I insist that the decision needs to be made in light that normal machines wont see more than 4 inches deep where I live.

I read an Explorer review where the poster mentioned that there were better machines than the Explorer for mineralization, I wish I knew which... If you can think of a better machine for my need I would like to know

From what I have read the minelab is the best for bad ground not sure if all the machines are the best but I have read the ETrac does very well in bad ground like the very worst ground.....

Not sure where you live, the ground here in Northern Virginia has a lot of clay and many places I hunt have a lot of iron and hot rocks. AT Pro works well and depth is not an issue, I cannot speak for the ETrac, I've not tried it. Have you checked with local clubs or asked if anyone who owns an AT Pro lives close who can let you try their machine out for a few trips so you can decide for yourself? That would be the best way to make an informed decision. All the best.........
