Bad ground and depth!

Member
I'm looking for a best detector I can find to use in bad ground. Depth is my main concern? I plan to relic hunt in open fields.

Bad ground, open fields, depth.........one of the Minelab big coiled PI's, 2100, 2200, 3000, 4000....and oh by the way......... bring a fat wallet!:laugh::laugh:

Gee a CZ properly ground balanced will hold its own in most situations relative depth but in some areas are easily iron masked...Have to admit old favorite relic units like a 1266 goes deep but suffers in certain types of bad ground and a Nautilus also goes deep but depending how its tuned can be affected by bad ground...Might check out the Sunray CZ large coil for certain situations as its a super deepie but again larger coils and bad ground are not a good combination...Unfortunately we are not playing on a level field and what works in my neck of the woods may not work well in yours..Certainly PI units usually go deep also but be prepared to dig....
