Bad Batch Of Batteries

First post in a long time here, but thought I'd share this in case someone else see's this good deal.

I bought a 24 pack of batteries at Bass Pro Shop, their brand, for like $10.00,I bought them because of the low price and I'm always needing some around the house for toys (mine or my sons).
Anyway, they seem to work pretty good in walkie talkies and Maglites, but I went to put them in my Xterra 70 and got a "Low Battery".At first I thought it was a bad cell because there was one in there. Then I swapped them out three times with new ones and with all the same result.
I don't know what it is about those batteries but they just don't have enough juice in them to power my Xterra,These things are JUNK,I'll keep them to put in flashlites but that's about all they're good for.
I highly recommend NOT GETTING THEM.
May get some rechargeable hybrid's to use in my MD,I need to get some anyway for my camera flash.

I bought some great looking and priced DELCO AA batteries and man, they are at least as bad as you describe yours.

My dad used to say 'education costs money' he was sure correct.

ALso, I can say from first hand experience, I bought Harbor Freight cells once and I have NOT seen a battery leak since I was about 10 yrs old, till I got these loser batteries, that's some 40 yrs ago!

For the last 3 1/2 years I have used Energizer Rechargeable 2500 mAh. I get about 20 - 25 hrs out of a set of batteries. The last pack of 8 rechargeable batteries I bought 2 years a go for I think it was around 18 bucks and I Md 5 to 7 day's a week as long as the ground is not froze. If I bought throw a way batteries I don't think that I could afford to MD, lol

I carry a small battery tester in the van with me and test each of my alkalines before they go in the X-T 70 and buy them by the 20 pack. It no doubt would be cheaper to go with rechargeables.

I last bought some, "cheapie" batteries from Costco. I think it was around $10 for 48 AA's. To my surprise, they work just fine and have not had any problems with them.

I guess I am real lucky. I can get Energizer Heavy duty AA from work. I pay .19 cents per battery. So for .80 I can hunt for quite a while, Beale.
