I posted here a few days ago about adopting a family down the road for Christmas-Today,the mother of that family came to our house;to talk to my wife about Christmas.and;she said:"My husband told me today he was divorcing me,and he left".......Then she said that this "man"said that his parents wanted him to live closer to them(they're about 60 miles away),and that they would buy him a BRAND NEW XBOX 360 CONTROLLER IF HE MOVED BACK WITH THEM"-So he left announcing his intentions,and taking one of their SIX daughters with him........He turned his back on his wife and 5 kids for a video game controller-AND told her he was suing for complete custody of the other 5 kids(Quite a defense in court:"I left for a VIDEO GAME controller!!!").......I told my wife shes better off without someone like that around-anybody that will sell their soul to satan for the price of a video game controller is not worthy of anything.She also said she doesnt have a driver's licence,either-SO I told her :"We are here for you if you need ANYTHING-Thats what neighbors are for".She was so thankful,she left on the verge of tears.and IM ASHAMED that there's "men" out there that throw their families to the wolves all too easily.................:sadwalk::(The way I see it,as I told my wife;"ANOTHER DOOR OF MINISTRY has opened up for us",AMEN..............................
 
he will either come to his senses or the prayers will add coals to his fire. I pray he repents and gets right with God and does what is right for his family. Prayers that God will protect this family (wife and all the children) where ever they are and go. Praying for their salvation as well. Sad world we live in.
 
Amen! And Steve, you and your wife can show them the love and goodness of Jesus in your hearts and help her and the children not only a Christmas time but whenever help is needed and, if she doesn't know Jesus, personally, may your witnessing in providing for what she needs show her the way to the Cross of Calvary and bowing in humble submission at Jesus' feet! This whole world seems to be falling competely apart, but Jesus is still the glue that holds it together when people allow Him to do so! Amen! :angel: Ma Betty
 
You helping them out is the right thing to do.
 
I am in the same boat a her in that my wife was killed by a drunk driver in 1988. I've raised my girl by myself ever since. I'll die to make sure she's taken care of. I pray for that woman. And I pray for her children a wll. Christ did say " No Greater love ha one than this, that he lay down his life for a friend." Steve, by your actions you have shown Great Love and are to be commended for it. May God Bless you And Yours. I'm sure He will. My only caution is that you use some emerity in that situation as well and not get dragged into it whole sale ok. PEACE:RONB :clapping:
 
May God give you and your wife the ability to bring a little 'cheer' into this woman's life and the lives of her children. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers throughout Christmas, as well as into the coming new year. My God bless.
