I would like to know if you were thinking about getting a backup detector from whites, which one would you get? I do all kinds of detecting. Thanks!

The 2 Whites that seem to impress me the most are the MXT and the IDX Pro.

I had an IDX Pro, and I traded it in on my MXT. Now, I wished I would have kept it. It would be nice to have for a friend to use, that is not real familiar with metal detecting because they could turn it on an go for it. The problem with the IDX Pro was that it did not have a depth indicatior, which I did learn to get a good estimate of depth by lifting the coil. I also didn't like how it only had a single tone.
If I was to get a back-up detector now, I would get a water detector. I would like to search the shallow water at the beaches. With the MXT, although the coil is waterproof, if you drop it in the water, it's all over. It just seems like it makes more sense, to me anyways, if you are going to have two detectors, one land detector and one water detector seems better than having two land detectors.

Classic III SL just to keep a 4" coil affixed to. The IDX Pro is my primary-use unit, so I would want to make sure I had one in case something went wrong (which seldom happens with a Classic series models!)
