Back yard detecting...............

I don't hunt my own yard very much.

Don't know why. Maybe I'm saving it for hard times.

When I do hunt it, I don't usually find much maybe that's why.

Today I was testing a new digger I made. It worked great until it broke:blink:

Well so much for that idea. But I know how to do it now. I'm going to make a better one.

Here's what I found in my yard.

Don't know what this thing is . Anybody got any guesses?

That's my post for today. Hope it sets alright with you,

It looks like a boot heel cap, if it's not too large to be that . People who are bad about shuffling along instead of picking up their feet often wear off the backs of their boot heels excessively and put caps on to counteract that.

Nice Hotwheels T-bird! That other object appears to be half of a Iron chocolate chip cookie. To bad about your custom digger but hey better to break it close to home than at some civil war camp that you just packed 7 miles to get too.

I've looked all over my yard and it only turned up a little clad. I keep looking but all I find is stuff in the test garden!! :tesoro:

I've poked around my yard quite a bit when I didn't have time to get out to any other sites. Mostly found the usual nails, trash etc. and some clad. Did find however an Australian cent and a Phillipine centavo. Don't know how they got here as I live in the country away from any sidewalks or main roads. Lost by a previous dweller I assume.

That's a real big foot.

Check it out for size in the first photo.

The real Big Foot lives right here in Arkie Land in a town called Snow Ball.

His feet are humongous. He traveled in carny shows for years to pay for his size 28 special shoes.

If he is still alive he has a collum in a local paper called "The Big Foot Circle".

HH,

I found a gold wedding band that was said to have been lost by an angry husband. I gave it to my girlfriend that told me the story afterwards. She says she didnt think it would ever been found.

That's a good fealing when you can find something of importance to somebody.

I found a ladies cell phone. I was able to return it before she bought a new one. She said I saved her a lot of money and offered me a reward. For some silly reason, I didn't take it. I figured I got more out it that way.

Hoping to find a class ring. That would be nice.:)

HH,

just trying to compare it to the hotwheels cars and the padlock, but that's what it reminded me of with the nail holes around the edge, except for the size being too large. Of course, that would probably be the logical nail hole pattern for almost any use just based on the shape of the piece. Maybe it's was just a homemade patch for a wooden wall, floor, or box?
