Made it out tonight for about an hour to where I found a couple of Wheats yesterday....first coin was a Wheat less than an inch deep! Again, trash was sparse and there were more coin signals than anything else - always a good sign!

The ground in places was like concrete, but other places wasn't too bad. The coolest find for today was the soap token - was in great shape until I stabbed the pliss out of it multiple times. It really helps having the right tools along, but live and learn I guess! The buckle still works perfectly and is in great shape...zinc items like the little heart don't fare too well out here though....

Some yards here are gravel (?) while others are grassy and all the in-betweens - a far cry from the thick grasses of TN but on the other hand items don't seem to be nearly as deep. Haven't seen any excessive mineralization any worse than usual so far. Also haven't come up on any deep targets except that bit of play money the other day in the park.

The old area of the city is about 1/2" the size of Memphis but without the no-go zones for the most part - so it will probably work out fairly even as far as accessible old houses and parks. Really can't wait to get onto a virgin property here I bet it will be something....just a couple more days.....
