Decided to hunt a local park today , but after digging a handful of clad it started to
fill up with kids. So I headed back to the woods , snakes are quieter
Managed to find a cool cross,no idea of age or metal,pretty sure its not silver,
no markings. Thanks for looking

Cool cross Terri.

Many times silver is not marked.

I go by look, feal and the sound it makes when it rings.

Either way that's a real nice find.

Nice cross. Glad you left the park!! If you check very carefully, especially around the edges and high points, you may see some plating that has fallen off. If none, then it may be silver, but it's probably plated. Sometimes the .925 is well hidden on the design. Still a great find either way. Detecting 2 days in a row?? Sounds like an addiction to me

I think your right coinnut, It looks plated to me. But I enjoy finding anything that
has writing on it,gives me a reason to do a little research , lol. I've been addicted
for some time , but had 2 days off and took advantage of the nice weather

hi echostar, that's a nice little cross. it might not be silver, but hey, it's a good find! i like quiet alone time too. a little kid on a bike here in the neighborhood spied me getting out the car with my machine last week. hey mister, whatcha doin'? oh no, no, i told him, you have to go back home! hh,
