Back to the same spot I found a few weeks ago.

I believe I could hunt this place a 100 times and not dig it all. It is extremely trashy. There had to have been a house here during and a little while after the civil war. I found a 69 caliber three ringer with the top grooved carved and a 69 caliper round ball. A button that I'm not sure if it is civil war or after. It says U S ARMY on it. it looks to be made of lead. I also found a ring that is stamped 14k but only is gold on the inside or so it looks. Also a whats it. I dug a ton of iron but I will every time I go to try and remove some of it to get to the good stuff. Most of the small iron and the nails were found with the pinpointer in the same hole with some good stuff. The darker iron items I just got out of the back of my truck because it started to rain. My pouch got full so I made a trip to the truck to unload some iron.

I wish that I lived somewhere that I could find big lead like that.

Congrats on a bunch of nice finds!

Now that's a truckload of loot....lol. There are times when we carry 1 pound coffee cans with us for trash. You are finding a lot of old stuff at that site, there has got to be some good finds mixed in there after you wade through the trash. Have you thought about creating a new program and just ignoring all low signals? I do that often in newer parks to wade through the junk. If you're getting 3 ringers, you're in some old ground.

The last three post I have made have all been at this same spot. I dug most of the good signals the first time. I honestly almost passed on the three ringer. It had iron almost touching it all around when I dug it. I couldn't believe it when I dug the hole and out pops a three ringer. I have found two eagle buttons one was a Infantry also. I know there is more good stuff to be found here. But I'm thinking about hunting another field this weekend that the beans have finally been picked.
