Back to the races.....again

My mate Geoff and I revisited the racecourse again today. You wouldn't believe it, the only day we could get away and it rained. It hasn't rained around here for months. We did get most of the day in before it started. Geoff ended up with $42 in one and two dollar coins and a few pennies and halfpennies, 1 x two shilling, 1 x shilling, 5 x sixpences and one threepence, some one and two cents and a Canadian cent. I got a few pennies and halfpennies, 3 x sixpences, 1 x threepence and $11.[attachment 39406 B3.JPG] While it was raining we sheltered in the bar and Geoff continued to detect and was rewarded with $6 and a sixpence. Oldest coins were one of Geoffs sixpences 1896 and one of my pennies 1864. The rain beat us in the end so it looks like a return trip......thanks for looking....Ken.

in the hands of another happy detectorist! Love that photo of you! And the coins of course! I must have got your weather, because it poured rain all day at work, and I'm supposed to finish a painting job. Well done hunting for the day! Always great to see your photos. They do speak a thousand words! Hoping to get out myself this weekend.

Hi Golden. Yes, the Quattro is a great machine. Thats actually a photo of my mate Geoff, he's a magnet (not chicks). We used to dig farm dumps for bottles and you could always rely on Geoff to come up with the find of the day. He's getting the same way with the Quattro. We had a good day out but then I reckon any day out detecting is a good day.............Ken.:twodetecting::ausflag:

and I've got Tuesday off work too, so it'll be a detecting day for me.
Your friend Geoff looks like he's enjoying himself there! (thought it was you, darn it!)
Cheers Golden:twodetecting::minelab::)
