I went back to the beach area I have been working at the local park's 13 acre lake. I have scoured it pretty well and found NADA...so I figured that years ago (opened in 1932) they might have swam ANYWHERE on the lake, not just the current beach area, so I continued down the now-exposed shoreline. I ended up finding two more rings. One is a junk toe ring that broke in half during transport in my pouch. The other is a beautiful heavy .925 (says PLATA..Spanish for silver) mens band with inlaid crushed turquoise.
I then went and searched dirt in the park for a while looking for old silver...AGAIN the door to the silver coin dimension remained closed (ANOTHER 1965 quarter and TWO 1965 dimes)...I did manage a 194.... wheatie, so there has to be old silver coinage there somewhere. Here's a few pics:
