I sold my GT to try a used Explorer II. Well, we all make mistakes, right?

Did Minelab really make the Explorer?

I would say piece of junk but I don't wish to offend anyone.

Anyway, I've sold the Explorer and a new GT is on its way:super:

Don't feel like the Lone Stranger... I sold my GT and got a SE. For some reason I didn't want to go throught all the learning that one has to go through. I decided the GT was the machine that was made for me. Sold the Explorer SE and bought another GT and haven't looked back.

I have both the GT, the XS2 and the Explorer SE and a Fisher F-75 and I still prefer my GT as it is so easy to use once you get to know this detector. No matter how many machine i have I will alway have at least one Sovereign around. I find I can dig less trash and better coins with the GT than the SE, but will say I have seen the Explorers get some little deeper coins than the Sovereign will. This has been done by those that really know there Explorers, those that cant learn them then the Sovereign will do better in my opinion as the tones are so much easier to hear and last longer too.

Badger, I have a GT on order too. I'll be using this Sov GT topside and Excal under water.
