back to the field next to the fairgrounds... still giving silver!

haven't hit the field (parking area) for the old fair in awhile... it's very stony and the grass is long. I have been told it has been pounded to death, well this makes about 30 wheats and 10 silvers I have pulled from this spot in the last month. I have been pushing through a tricep tendon tear I did about 3 months ago... today is my last hunt for a few weeks while I let it rest. cranked up the sensitivity to 28 and ran an almost open screen... what a day it was... 7 Wheats, 1 merc, and 1 Rosie... and an old good luck token ...I like finding these type of old tokens. the aluminum disc on the right was found in the same area and is the same size and thickness, a token blank perhaps? oh well.. my last finds post for a few weeks... thanks for lookin'!

Gunwolfe, that etrac and you are humming like a singer sewing machine.
I'll tell you a secret... it's all the E-trac, that thing loves dimes and silver.. took me a few years to learn the language of the E-trac, and I am by far no expert...but I can understand alot more of what it is saying and when;). My job in the partnership is to find a suitable location.

I usually don't share spots, but this one is a permission the property is privately owned and has been "hunted out" or so I have been told... like I said not an easy spot to dig.. very stoney. History lesson... Early Nascar races were held here in the 30's -50's, and this was the original picked location for the Talladega speedway, but the deal fell... I have only hit a small portion of the parking area... working on the "inside" permission where the race track is/was.

Get better and get back out, even slow and short has to help that muscle repair!! Your token is eerily familiar........I’m pretty sure mine is 60-early70s from local rock festival.

yeh I would say... same token vendor at least... cleaned up mine says Good luck in the horseshoe, and has a flag on the reverse center... that's cool I can almost date it... I looked up the name Asa hill, it is a local name but could find no further info... not that it is valuable... but how cool would it be to have something with your name returned many years later....

I may be mistaken but I believe Asa Hill is a school.....
