Back to the farmhouse....no coins... but some neat finds

Back to the farmhouse------ Today (6-11-11) no old coins popped up ( found about 38 cents in clad) but I did find two old buttons and a miniature (Eagle Lock Co, Terryville, CT ) pad lock. Never knew they made them so small. The small button had a nice smooth tone and locked in at 163 on my meter. The larger button also had a nice smooth tone and locked in at 173. The Little Eagle lock danced my meter up and down with variable audio. About an 8 point jump back and forth 165-173 the only thing I can think of there was other metal trash in the hole. Almost didn't dig....( I said almost lol) I kind of wrestled with the coil and target trying to figure what I was going to do. I tried to get the meter / audio to climb (which it did) but then it would drop some. In the end, something told me to dig. Now, if I can just find that little key to unlock it lol.

Tree mend us you have not found the last of the godies

wow

lol, there are 5.20 Acres to cover. Some of it has been covered by a parking lot, tennis & basketball courts, sidewalks, baseball diamond and a playground. This place will always produce. Since we had a good soaking rain the night before, it was real easy digging. No hard and dry ground to dig into.

Yes,

two have been found. An 1825 Large Cent and a 1908 large British penny. I continue to hunt it as I have a good feeling more is there.
