Man the weather here in Chicago has been beautiful! Spent 3 hours in the water, dug lot of those lead balls, couple coins and bullets. 1 10K gold filled earring, a junk ring and my oldest ever inscribed ring. 14K wedding band, 6.4 grams
Inscription reads: V.K. 2-23-1910
The ring and engraving show almost no wear.
21 day until their 102nd anniversary! WOW

Ron,
looks like you had a great day hunting. No silver lining... but you did find a very nice gold one  HH - Jim

Very nice old ring. I wonder how long it sat there under water before you came long and found it? One of things I always think about.....who.....how ......when......with old valuables like that.

There's nothing like the feeling you get when unearthed gold hits the light of day.
A great find that capped your hunt!

There are some folks who wear rings given to them from their parents or grand parents. It may have been one of those.

I've returned a ring that was a family heirloom that was lost at Siesta Beach a few years ago. The woman was swimming with the ring that her grandmother wore for all her married life and was her wedding ring. They were in Florida on their honeymoon and she was upset that the ring was gone. They saw me with my Excalibur and asked if I could help. They were looking for it for almost 5 hours and were about to give up.

They told me kind of where she lost it and in about 20 minutes, I had found her ring. She and her husband wanted to give me a reward but I told them to just pay it forward. I told them it was my wedding gift to them.
