Back to the Arky Barky wood chips

I went back to the local tot lot that I've been trying to clean all the aluminum out of.

Some tot lots I can clean out in a few hours. I've been working on this one for weeks. It's one of the two largest playgrounds I have hunted. It has wood chips that are wet, partly molded and has some roots. The worst thing about it is that when they ground up the wood they also ground up lots of aluminum of all kinds and other metals also.

I've been using my Eldorado up til now. Today I decided I wanted to us my Euro Sabre. Today was my best day so far. I hunted the baby swings. They usually don't yield as good as big people swings, but today was the exception.

I got a silver cross. I got an ear ring that has what looks like a pearl. The other ear ring was found yesterday.

The Arky Barky tool works so good, it's the only tool I need in wood chips, except my MD. Many times the target will just pop out of the wood chips when I twist the Arky Barky. I never need to let go of the detector to recover a target.

Happy New Year,

Maybe you better add "Lucky" to the Arky Barky name. I hope you made two. Cause you are going to wear that one out really quickly. Nice very nice.

good luck on clearing the land it will make your future trips much easear the good thing about your tool is it can get into the chips whith ease good tool bro

Far better than I did in a couple hours time on the baseball outfield, Tabdog.

Are those two ball bearings? or shot?

They must have given you fits in the bark!

Hi Rmptr,

Looks like you got enough for a snack.:)

I found my first of two gold rings in a baseball field. Between 3rd and home plate.:)

Those are two BBs in my photos. There is also a strait pin and a staple. I just put those in there to brag about the sensativity. And the fact that I was dumb enough to chase them down:blink: Chasing a lead shot down in the woods is a real trick. I did that before:blink:

I wouldn't have that much patience normally but this is a challange for me. This tot lot is just one mile from my house and has intemidated me from the beginning. Now I'm not affrade of it any more. I'm gonna clean that baby out, and that means everything I can haul out of there.

I'm not saying that's smart:blink:

But I'm in charge here and this the way me and Arky Barky are gonna do it:blink:

Ooh! That hurt! LOL

Well, I better keep pluggin away at it 'til I get the good stuff!

Think I'm gonna root through my bag of goodies and see if my bride has left something in there I might be able to swap for a sniper coil. Gonna go off on a different tack for a while if I can get one.

Do you think the 4" sniper coil and 5.75 concentric will work on my old silver saber?

I don't know.

The smallest coil I have right now is a 7" concentric.

I ordered a 5.75 concentric but it hasn't come in yet. Don't know what's taking so long. I ordered it December 22.

I've only used the 5.75 for the Cibola. Don't know what to expect out of the uMax version.

The 4" seems really small. I would think you could get in tight places with it.

Today I used the 8" stock coil on my Silver Sabre uMax. I like that coil. I over look it's little inconviences and it is a very productive coil for me. I do like the 7" better even though it doesn't go as deep.
