Went searching for old coins this afternoon..and found two of my favorites.

"Merc" and "IH" were found in dry sand; other recoveries were from wet sand and muddy flats at low tide.

the area that I chose to hunt was where a steep cut had been for a couple of years, but after Hurrican Irene, it collapsed and there was a lot of low spots where I was hoping old coins had sunk.......that's where I found the I H.
