Back To My Ring Park And Picked Up Another Ring Today!:detecting:

I am on a ring roll at this park. Ring #3 in 2 days. It's turquoise on a copper band. It's supposed to get cold next week, with a high of 7C/45F on Monday. I'll just have to dress warmer.

Man,, you ARE on a roll! Good job!
Our weather is supposed to turn too, with a high of 86. I sure hope we get more than a week's worth of fall weather.

Listening to the audio......listen to audio blips around the 50 +/- 2% of VDI numbers. If it barks loud at you at the VDI of 53 mostly, it's probably a pull tab. You end up digging a lot of trash, but that's part of the hobby too. Good Luck!

I hear you well......sometimes we don't even get a fall up here. Summer, then a big dump of snow, and then that's it.

I hear you on the louder signal aspect of pull tabs. But I still generally pass on signals around the high forties to low fifties. My trash laziness ends up biting me in the end. Tabs around here are also 61-63, usually around 61. It gets to where I just won't dig them. I get back results equal to my effort put in, around these numbers, which is very minimal.

Glad I live in the south where it's warm. It was in the 80's a few days early this week and last week we had some rain, but it's 94 today and with the humidity, it feels like 100. The water is pretty cold last time I was at the river to me, but it probably doesn't faze cold weather detectors. When they lower the water in the river this November, I plan to either buy a wetsuit or just rent one for 3-4 days. The dive shop I use is 100 miles round trip but if you rent a wetsuit on Saturday you only pay 10 bucks because they are closed Sunday & Monday and as long as you get it back by Tuesday it's a great deal. Members in Canada and Michigan and the other cold states are hard core to get out in the water when it's so cold. You're finding quite a few rings at this park, John. I have several parks I want to detect, but just can't seem to find the time to do so. GL & HH.
