Back to my site and found a 1803 kettle coin. It was the first dig for the day and thought that it was a KG 1/2 cent. Was working with the coin program opened up to FE 27. I had gone over the area before but was using the standard coin program. Apparently with the masking openned up a little, it was able to give a solid sound instead of it breaking up. A fair amount of iron covers the site. It started raining again so i ducked under a tree and started working my way to the road when i had a solid 12-41. 4 inches down and out popped a 1876 Seated Liberty Dime ,my second at that site. As it started to clear i went around a big tree near the road and got a repeatable signal near one of the roots, dug down about 7-8 inches, and out popped another large cent. I couldn't tell what was other than the size of it, but it appeared to have a 2 stamped on it. During my return walk to the truck i picked up some nice colonial buttons and a Indian head that didn't have a readable date. All in all, a few good hours detecting in NY.
