Hi Ho Hi Ho back to fairgrounds we go! Lud and I headed back to the old avoca fair grounds last week and found some more goodies! Another 76 seated dime was the first find of the evening ringing true at the 73/74 vdi only an inch below ground-easy pickins! Also found my first shield nickle-a 1869! It came in around 28-31, and was about 3 inches deep. My heart really started pumpin with the canadian nickle-thought it was a 3 cent peice at first, I've been hopin wishin and prayin for one! Also found a 72 indian, but its in pretty rough shape, i think the fertilizers eat away at the copper in the ground. The V nickle is from a previous hunt (also my first), but is in pretty good condition as well-been a fist pumpin week! Hope all are out and about having as good of luck as we are!

Now that is some great digging, Tom!!!! Love those hunts where there is a variety. HH jim tn
