It's been hard to get out lately due to work committments but today I was determined to get out to Horseshoe Bay (one of the busiest tourist beaches on the island) and take my shot at some gold. There are thousands of well heeled tourist who have visited this beach every year for the past 100 years so you would think there was a little loot to be had. NOPE, nuthin' but BULLETS!
If I hadn't found the bus token I wouldn't have even broken the dollar mark on clad.
In the end it was a beautiful sunny day and the water temp was a fairly brisk 66 degrees F but with my wet suit on and my dive boots it was a piece of cake to hunt the low tide up to my neck to 3 hours.

Hope You Did Better Than I Did,:crylol:

At the swimming hole I came across a beautiful blue parrot fish but she was shy and swam for cover, Nothing Shy about these Seargent Majors!

:cool:The Bermuda Regiment is located at the top of the bluff above this beach. This area would have been used as a rifle range in WW1 and WW2. Bermuda has sent a lot of soldiers to fight for England in the world wars so they have had to practice their marksmanship in the past. Almost no guns on the island now though, lots of tourists however.

Cheers,

BDA
