back out to sharps field with the worm!

GRAY GHOST

New member
hello all. pete the worm and myself headed back out to the field yesterday - it was 60 degrees - where we've all been digging sharps by the pouchfuls. i think we're up to nearly 200 between the three of us, so it's been good for us. i dug 12, got a solid brass musket band, 2 wheat cents, a '44 and a '52, a piece of harmonica reed, a couple of perc caps, 2 old brass lipstick tubes, part of a friction primer, what might be a burnt scabbard tip, and hundreds of small pieces of lead melt.

i'd gotten a real good sounding hit and dug down about 14" to recover an old tin can [ another beer can breastplate ] disapointed, i threw it in the road ditch, when pete laughs at me for having to dig so deep for nothing. that's ok, i got him back a few minutes later, taking a pic of him digging with my phone... that pic is now in my computer with the caption "THE WORM IS DIGGING HIMSELF A NEW HOLE WITH A TECHNICAL MARVEL CALLED A SHOVEL."

Man you guys are getting them.....hh.......Dan
