Back order Blues!

Just had to cancel my order for a simple wall charger for my Sovereign GT. I was told that their is no expected ETA for a battery charger either. I have been hearing all over the web that Minelab is sorely lacking in getting their act together with back ordered items. This combined with the fact that Minelab would NOT send me an extra control box mounting bracket for my GT is a shame. They wanted me to send the GT in just in order to get a new mounting bracket. I will tell you this, MInelab makes some great machines but has some weak customer service and part supply.

Back before all the changes when Dick Shultz was customer service manager things were much different...If you needed a a small part, nut, bolt, decal or something Dick would hook ya up.. He also watched the forums and if someone was having a problem contacted them with a solution.. We may never get that kind of service again but hopefully can get back somewhere close...Whites has excellent customer service and has common repair parts available on their website..Looks to me that if some parts were available it would ease the backup of the overloaded service department....Thankfully the Minelabs are common enough that you can usually find what you need from another user....wildherre

there are other types pf wall chargers available for the same type of battery's..go to a local hobby store and buy and universal battery charger and cycle..might set you back about 20-50 bucks..then you can charge or cycle your battery's,and if you get the right charger you can fast charge your battery's too at the field from your car if you have the right type of battery's.
