Back on the Whites Bandwagon!

Dang

I had a good relationship with my Bandido 2 uMax. I had it longer then any other detector that I owned before it. At least 5 yrs.
It's not that I didn't like the Tesoro anymore. .
I just felt it was time for a change. I wanted to try something else for awhile. "We'd still be friends after the trade" I said. And with that I sent it south and now in its corner sits a whites XLT!
A little heavier but that's the price you pay for vast options I guess.
Well..love to tell you more about it but.....I got go to go study more of the manual.
See you folks later.

You will enjoy the XLT Dang... It truly is one of the Great Whites detectors.. I myself would enjoy owning another XLT I do believe..
I found a ton of Silver coins and many rings with the XLT.. Don't be afraid to make adjustments that allows maximum depth, and other features. You can't hurt it. Just reset all back to original.
Remember unless you save a program it goes back to factory preset programs if I remember correctly if you turn it off.

Went thru the same scenario-in fact had tried to order a new Tesoro. Somehow my account wouldn't come up with one of our sponsors and the emails to correct it faltered. So after a few days frustration, I went to another one of our fine sponsors and for some reason the MX5 caught my eye. Well, the account was immediately accepted and all things fell into place 1-2-3! But the real pleasant part was returning to Whites from the past to find the same great quality but with enhanced technology. Like you, I found them a little heavy, but the superb balance didn't tire me as fast. Detecting is more fun than ever!

This being my fourth xlt that i have owned, Im still enjoying it, Never lets me down.
Theres some good programs on the net for it, I usually turn ac sens up, tone id on, vco on, pre amp gain up
I use to rely on the vdi numbers all the time, Till i got use to the xlt and love the tone id just cant beat it.

What kind of depth did you get out of your Tesoro...were you hunting in mild ground.....could you hear good targets In Iron trash ? Thanks

Count me in on this one too. I have tried many detectors over the last 12 years I have been detecting, one at a time ( thank goodness for the classifieds! ) But I decided that I needed to stick with one of my favorite all around machines and stop wasting money I dont have to waste, My decision was clear. out of all the machines I have tried the MX5 was my favorite..... Thats what I own now. Thats my choice. It is one of the best all around machines I have ever used. It is extremely underated. I purchased a D2 and a 6X8 SEF. I am looking forward to an awesome season!!!

I agree Treasurechic! I sold my last MX-5 and miss that machine more than any I've owned! I'm trying an M-6 that I got a deal on with Sunray probe. I sure did enjoy the MX-5 and found its time on deep silver to be very good. I think I will be coming back to the MX-5 shortly as the Safari I've been using is great but too unbalanced.
