I have not been on this forum since my wife took seriously ill in October. Glad to see the old names that are still here. I have two questions.

First - Would some of you give me your changes or new settings for the coin mode, coin and jewelry mode, or special set ups you have in your customs mode?

Second - Can any of you distinguish by sound in the pinpoint mode the difference in size or shape of a detected item besides using the sizing readout?

These may have already been covered in previous posts and if so just tell me to search old posts.

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention I use the Garrett 2500. When I hunt I generally use the all metal mode and the zero disc. mode most of the time. When I switch to the jewelry mode I would like to find only gold. When I hunt in the coins mode I would like to find only coins and the silver jewelry that falls in that mode.

I would like to notch out the rest, but I am not sure as to what falls in the individual 24 segments on the machine.

In regard to the other questions, I was just wondering if anyone could hear any differences in the sounds of gold and tin foil or could detect the shape of the object while pinpointing......Coach
