Back in the water today at a beach I thought - incorrectly - that I had "done too much". Had the 7mm wetsuit, snorkel and mask and the atx.

At one stage popped out of the water to see a guy on the beach with a minelab bbs sov. Quietly laughing - as I have been over that spot so many times with the ATX!

Anyway...1st target was a 9ct small gold signet ring. You can't really see it well in the pics, looks like 1960s. Only 1.3 or 1.5 grams.

Not too many targets but second decent find for the afternoon a seiko ladies 50m watch....probably will work. Looks to have been in 2 metres of water for a year or so. Has not leaked....

Several 1970s coins later and the standard bottle tops. About to give up and back in the shallows 0.5m at a very low tide. A LOW - high target. ..normally reserved for silver.....

However. ..turned out to be a large (very large) sized 10k white gold :) getting pretty close to 100 now since Jan. ...don't know if will quite make it!

it is coming summer in NZ - although the weather is a bit odd at the moment. 12 deg cel - 19 deg cel. water of course a little colder - especially in the wind
